Commemorative postage stamp unveiled to mark the inauguration of the Padma Bridge

Before the inauguration of the bridge, The Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina first issued a commemorative postage stamp on the Padma Bridge. She first sealed the special envelope, then signed the dark card and finally signed the envelope and presented in front of those who were present. At that time, her university classmate and Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mostafa Jabbar was on the right side of the Prime Minister. Minister for Posts and Telecommunications Md. Khalilur Rahman and Director General of Posts Md. Faizul Azim were with the Minister during the unveiling of the package. Bangladesh Bank has printed a commemorative note of Taka 100 on the occasion of inauguration of Padma Bridge, a symbol of national pride like the Postal Department. After the unveiling of the postage stamp, the note was handed over to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina by Bangladesh Bank Governor Fazle Kabir.
